The Truth About Chloe Ting's "2 Week Shred" - My Results!

Since I started self-quarantining mid-March, I decided that I would take advantage of this free time as an opportunity to work on my health and fitness. If I'm going to be sitting at home for months on end, I might as well come out of this the most fit I have ever been.
I decided to start my health journey at the very beginning of April, working out almost every day and trying to be more mindful of the food I was eating. Halfway through the month, I decided I need a more tangible goal to keep myself motivated, it was around this time that I found out about Chloe Ting. Any time I opened up Youtube or Tik Tok I was bombarded with videos about Chloe Ting and her "2 Week Shred", people were seeing impressive results from just 2 weeks of doing her workouts! It all sounded pretty good to me.
Like many others at first, I thought that this 2-week challenge was just doing the same ab workout for 2 weeks, however, I was very wrong. The "2 Week Shred" is one of the many free workout programs that Chloe offers for free on her website. Essentially, this program involved doing multiple workout videos ranging from 25-50 minutes per day in total, with a couple of rest days thrown in. 50 minutes a day seemed like a lot for someone who hasn't regularly exercised since high school, but some crunches and jumping jacks can't be that bad, right? Wrong.
The first day of this challenge I pretty much had to take breaks for every single exercise and finished the workout laying on the ground dripping in sweat - sounds fun, I know. However, as the days went on the workouts slowly began to get less excruciatingly painful and I noticed myself getting stronger. The first week I could only do the up-and-down planks (my personal least favourite) for about 10 seconds, and by the end of the 2 weeks, I was able to do them for the full 30 seconds!
Now for what you've really been waiting for - the results!
I personally did not weigh myself for this challenge as I would rather rely on external physical results, so if you are going to do this challenge I would highly recommend taking before and after photos. I am really glad that I did because after the challenge was over, I was proud of myself for completing it, but didn't really feel like I could see any results like everyone else. However, after comparing the before and after photos, I can definitely notice a difference!
Before After
Although I didn't look like a completely different person after the challenge, I reminded myself that it had only been 2 weeks and that in the grand scheme of things, that really isn't that long. But the fact that I saw ANY results from just two weeks, I was really motivated to keep going and to see my body change even further. I am currently 3 weeks into her "Summer Shred Challenge" from last May, and will post my experience on that once I have finished!
I also want to note that during the 2 Week Shred I did not restrict any particular foods, but I did make sure that I was in a calorie deficit. If you want to hear more about the food portion of my fitness journey and how I am losing weight, stay tuned!
I definitely recommend this program and if you do decide to try it, feel free to dm me on Instagram and let me know how it's going!
